GetOpenOffice.org is Solveig Haugland, the author of the books featured on this site.
Solveig is an independent instructor and author near Denver, Colorado, focusing on training, consulting, and users' guides for OpenOffiice.org. She is a member of the Ask the Experts panel for TechTargets, in the EnterpriseSearchLinux.com portion of the www.techtargets.com Web site.

Solveig has worked as a course developer, technical writer, instructor and author in the high-tech industry for fifteen years. Employers include Microsoft Great Plains, Sun Microsystems, McDATA, Polycom, and BEA Systems.

Solveig started her involvement in OpenOffice.org through Sun Microsystems. She was working in Sun Educational Services when Sun purchased StarOffice, the commercial version of OpenOffice.org. Solveig and her co-author Floyd Jones, also of Sun Educational Services, decided to write a book on StarOffice. The book spent months at the top of the Fatbrain  bestseller list, and has been acknowledged as a key tool in learning and making the most of OpenOffice.org and StarOffice.
